Welcome to the diocesan youth office website.

Our youth office is run by a team of voluntary helpers under the direction of the Youth Officer and Chaplain. Their task is to in some way augment the support and encouragement that our parishes offer to the youth of the Church as they strive to live their Catholic faith. They do this with monthly youth activities in the diocese, they also look after the Youth for Lourdes group and organize and coordinate the World Youth Day initiatives, from time to time we have extra activities like a BBQ or a day away. We also take part in national events with CYSS.

Each year they co-ordinate and plan with the staff of our secondary schools a Youth Forum where senior students from the diocesan secondary schools gather to meet and greet one another and reflect on important moral and faith issues of interest to them.

The office is happy to advise any parish community initiative that they can.
